        Hello!!

Let me show you my bunny’s pic.

        https://imgur.com/iNMtxdp

(Dont know how to display the pic without clicking the link)

For months, my bunny was chewing out the plastic “handles” of the cage (Whatever it’s called :c) and as months passed, she began to completely tear the “handles” apart (Chewed out), leaving the cage barely shut therefore Snow White keeps escaping from the cage at bad times (Bedtime, early mornings..).

I just can’t tell her not to “escape” from my cage at bad times but nothing works, she is happy, rebelious and gets mad when I tell her off. While I do appropiate sudden “attacks” and licks on my face while I sleep, it’s just she is doing it at very bad times lately as she is supposed to be caged all night.

I tried to buy a new cage with metal “handles” but none were available so I am kind of stuck here, I cant spend a lot money for a similar cage with plastic “handles” when I know she will try tear them apart again

        Any suggestions?

FYI, I hope I am posting this in appropiate section.

Hmm normally buns do that when they are tired of being stuck in the cage. How long does she get out of cage time each day?

            Snow White is adorable.

Buns as a ule don’t care when you tell them off. They aren’t bred to be obedient like many dog breeds are. Could you get us a pic of the cage and chewed “handles”, maybe we could brainstorm and come up with something you can replace the handles with?

Rabbits like to chew. If you could get her apple twigs from untreated apple trees or willow twigs/toys, she might prefer to chew on those.

Normally, 3 to 4 hours. Sometimes 1 to 2 hours.

                Hey Bam,

I could buy her a stuffy toy. Maybe she would chew it.

Hmm, unfortunately buns are particularly active early morning so she’s probably a little frustrated at being caged. Could you attach a pen to it so she has more space during the night and early morning?

You could try and give her activities to do during that time too to occupy her, hiding forge around her cage for example or giving her apple twigs, or wooden/cardboard tubes stuffed with hay and forage etc.

I’m not sure what to do about the damaged cage, maybe use clamps of some sort?
