When I adopted Snickers, I was advised she was overweight, due to being fed a diet of muesli by her previous owner. She was also scared stiff of everything and healing from several bites, and was generally in quite a bad way. He spine seems slightly curved to the side, so I wonder if she was kept in too small a cage to stretch out at some point when she was still growing
She has now been with us for 11-12 weeks. I haven’t put her on a weight loss diet as such, just put her on the same healthy diet as everybunny else and plenty of floor time. At first she was too scared to come out for floor time, but she is making better use of the time now, though unlike Podge, so far she hasn’t attempted the stairs.

You can finally see the beginnings of a nice tum-line in this picture
She loves her hay and nose bumps me in the mornings to hurry up with the day’s fresh supplies
She and mini were adopted as a bonded pair, with the pet shop making it clear they wanted her staying with Mini as he was the only thing that calmed her down at all, and she needed him. However, it soon became clear they weren’t properly bonded, as they were constantly chasing and circling and nipping each other. After a temporary time as a threesome, with the benefit of Pippi’s calming effect, Snickers and Mini are finally happily bonded, and Pippi is happily back with Jenny.

I love the entwined back paws in this picture, and how relaxed she is staring to look
And how she is starting to feel safe around me
‘What did you bring me back from the market, mum?’
