Sneezing vet visit?

Hi everyone. My bunnies, Chewie and Snickers have semi-wet noses today I guess you could say. Chewie had a wet nose when I checked him because he was sneezing. He had a sneezing fit of about 10 sneezes. They weren’t harsh just light. I checked his paws. He was drinking water before he sneezed and that could be why his nose was wet. However, I checked Snickers just now who hasn’t been sneezing and he looked like he had a little bit of dried on mucous. It wasn’t white or discolored. Checked his paws and nothing. I’m going to be keeping a close eye on them.

I recently just abruptly switched their hay to Oxbow Timothy & Meadow Hay mix because we are evacuated from a fire in our area and we are staying with my parents until further notice. Chewie had sneezed a few times about 2 weeks back now I believe. No discharge, no no eye discoloration or watering. 

I’m not sure if the sneezing could even be from smoke exposure. I have been monitoring them like crazy the past few days since we had to come to my parents. I’ve been looking for any signs of stress. Poop is brown in color, normal shape and size. They have the occasional odd poop, but it’s obvious it is hair in it. They’ve been eating tons of hay, all their veggies, pellets, and drinking normally.

Could it just be allergy? Would you take them to the vet, or watch them for a day or so?

Since you have just swapped their hay, I’d start there and see if that’s the cause. It could be more dusty or something on that irritating them both.
Do your parents use plug in fragrances or anything like that?
Is the house particularly dry?

My mom has used plug in fragrances. They’re all unplugged and weren’t used since before the boys’ arrival. I’m not sure if that makes a difference. I’m not sure I would say it’s particularly dry, but we have dry heat. Temps outside are 106. Inside the house is 73. It’s a dry heat outdoors with low humidity.

I managed to get a photo of Chewie’s nose. I’m not sure how well you’ll be able to see. In the center it is wet for sure. It’s not white, or yellow discharge.

Chewie’s nose is still wet, although not sopping. It alternates between wet and dry. I haven’t seen him sneeze. His brother, Snickers’ nose is a little bit wet, but no sneezing either. Both have been eating, drinking, and binkying still. The vet and the rescue we got them from advised to just watch them over the next couple of days. There hasn’t been any white, yellow, or green discharge and their eyes are not watery or red. I’m hoping it really is just the new hay they were introduced to.
