I’ve been really worried lately with cerise in terms of his weight. I noticed he looked a bit different compared to Cocoa in terms of size.

I can feel his spine, but it’s not pointy, it’s not like Cocoa’s where I can easily feel her spine but I can also tell there’s a layer of healthy fat. I can’t feel his hipbones though, but I don’t know.. has he gotten slim? (he looks like this now https://i.imgur.com/cx2ZNWL.jpg sorry for the mess, he hasn’t been fixed yet and his hormones have been super bad so he’s been flipping the litterbox)

He somehow appears to be smaller than Cocoa, either that, or maybe Cocoa gained a bit more weight..?

He’s still eating hay and drinking lots of water as he should, and he hasn’t had any issues with fecal pellets.. aaaaa I don’t know

Because rabbits can posture in so many ways, it’s difficult to estimate weight and fitness from a picture. The spine is typically used to get an estimate. You want to feel the spine with rounded edges, not distinct spine edges.

I don’t know if your rabbits are the same breed, but if they’re both eating as much as they should, I’d say it’s just variation in size. The next time you see your exotic vet, ask about their weight.

It was actually so hard to get a photo of him since he’s so full of energy, and every photo came out blurry Lol! They’re siblings though! Cerise seems to have a more fluffier coat than his sister, I’ll be sure to ask when I go

With a fluffier bun it may be harder to really use this graphic, but I just kinda use this as a guide. Obviously you don’t want any pockets of fat that makes it look “saggy”. But since its hard to weigh them accurately at home, I just try to compare to this the best I can.

              Hope that helps
