Hey everyone! I’ve been studying so much for finals and waking up early for the bunny. I usually put her in her cage at midnight so she gets as much energy out as possible prior to going to sleep but I really could use a good nice rest full night! She of course makes plenty of noises in the cage even when I put her in at midnight. I’m afraid if I try to put her in for the night around 9:30pm or 10:00pm it will be a disaster! I would leave her out at night but she isn’t spayed and is spraying (2x on my bed). I don’t want to worry about her jumping on my bed while im asleep or anything. Any suggestions? Is putting her in her cage around 9:30 pm okay? Or too early? She does get about 6-8 hours of out of cage time a day.

Hello! Do you have room to set up an ex pen in your room?
My bun was exactly the same when he was in the cage (he’s now free roaming 24/7). We set up a bigger pen for him so at night he would have his cage and then extra space to run around – it would stop him rattling the cage and he seemed so much happier
I wouldn’t say 9.30 was too early, as long as she was having enough time out of the cage! At the end of the day, you need your sleep as you’re at a really important period of time for you

Could you attach a pen to her cage? If she has a little more room, she might not be as noisy. Or, give her activities that will keep her entertained during the night. You could hide forage around her cage, give her willow toys to destroy etc?

Also, ear plugs! I agree with Sarah and Garfy’s great suggestions, but ear plugs make such a difference too. I used to get woken up by Nimbus binkying around – he wasn’t trying to get out, just having fun, but it was SO NOISY.

I would love to get a play pen, but at the moment, I have just started working, I am saving up money for her to be spayed due to her spraying all the time and not quite understanding the litterbox. She poops EVERYWHERE! I can get the play pen after I save up the money for her to be spayed. I will try to just get ear plugs. Most of the day she’s free roaming so she gets a lot of play time.

Haha I forgot to mention ear plugs! Although, saying this we sleep in the room next to Garf and last night he was absolutely on one binkying around that I could hear him through the ear plugs and the walls! Shouldn’t have given him banana before bed
