        Hey everyone,

I am hoping to find some advice in regards to helping my 11 yr old rabbit, Mr Bunny.

I recently took him to the vet for ear issues and he was diagnosed with a yeast infection. He had a round of antibiotics and they had me give him some ear drops/serum twice a day for a week. He ended up having a reaction to the ear drops which has now made the skin in his ear go all crusty and is red. I took him back to the vet last week and he got another round of antibiotics for the yeast infection that hadn’t quite cleared up yet.

They said not to worry about his flakey skin but it looks pretty bad still. He is pretty old so cant really groom himself well anymore so I was wondering if there was anything that I could do to help his skin heal? The sore ear still feels pretty warm compared to his other ear.

Would some olive oil on his skin help or make it worse? Any suggestions?

        Thanks

Olive oil is usually pretty soothing and healing.
