  Hi Everyone,
  
  We are finally doing a major site update (has been needed for a long time). Most of what is updated is “behind the scenes” but either way, that means the site may be down at times, or look strange or have some glitches.
  
  We hope to have all of the wrinkles ironed out by next week.
  
  Thanks for your patience.
  
  UPDATE: January 4th: — We are still working on it. This will take us all week at least.

  Yeah, what’s up with the posts? A few posts disappeared from one of my threads. I think it happened while the site was down a while ago.
  
  EDIT: Also, I just noticed that my signature was reset to what it was 2 days ago.

  It appears the past 2 days worth of posts and new threads is missing. It might be a case of wait and see if they can be recovered. Fingers crossed!

  I just noticed some private messages I received/sent yesterday are missing also. I have the “noreply” copy of those received at my designated email address but no copy of those I sent.

  The site was reset to an earlier point (like with a “system restore” on a computer). Binkybunny said there was no way around this unfortunately. The site has to be updated from time to time and these things can happen. I don’t believe there is anyway to get lost posts back, so if it was something very important, you might want to start a new thread in the appropriate subforum.

  This is true. 24 hours worth of posts were lost. Normally we CAN get posts back, but in this case we could not. I sincerely apologize! That’s another thing we are still working on.
  
  I sincerely apologize. This is one of the biggest most complicated site updates we have had to do to date. Mostly because we waited so long between updates this last round.

  I don’t think there’s any apology necessary. Sites need updating sometimes! I think that, with all the good that this site does for people, we can tolerate a little glitch adventure now and then : )
