Hello everyone,
I really need help, this may be a lengthy post, but stick with me!
I bunny sat over the long weekend for the family that runs the rescue where I adopted my two babies. They saved baby French Lops from a breeder for people they knew who wanted to adopt them, however they ended up getting an extra little baby bunny (2 months old). Anywho, JUST as they were about to leave on Friday, the extra baby bunny got sick, and could not move her hind legs well; she was no longer hopping, just kind of scooting across the ground and they found out that she had parasites (I’m not sure what kind).
This rescue works on a foster basis, and they received a call about 60 rabbits which were seized, so I may be taking in this baby French Lop to foster TODAY, but here is my question!
How do I keep my rabbits safe from getting sick? She (sick baby foster) will be in my bedroom, while my bunnies are in the dining room and living room, with no access to my bedroom. Is this enough? After handling the baby bunny should I wash my hands and change clothes? Completely shower?
Please, if you guys have any information, please help! I cannot let my babies get sick, but I also cannot not help the rescue out while they are in a tough spot.
Thanks for any advice!!
