I would LOVE to see the other Bunnies, Me (Bonnie Bunny) have 2 bunnies…
A Female whoes 3 months (June 1 2012), who i originally named Bondi (as in a beach in New South Wales, Australia), untill we found out that “he” was a She, so we modified her name to Bonnie, she now lives happily with her neighbour Maple.
Her mum is an Angora X Dwarf lop, and i was told that the dad was a Russian Blue, however all i get when i research is… Cats??!!…
This is dad: http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hpho…8570_n.jpg
And this is mum: http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hpho…4695_n.jpg
and this is the mother, with Bonnie and her sibling – Bonnie’s sibling is the black one…: http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hpho…3628_n.jpg
Bonnie and her sibling were only 4 weeks or so in the above photo…
My other bunny is a De-sexed male rabbit… think he’s a Dutch X, we named him Maple, because he was the colour of “Maple Syrup” when we got him, he was timid, crouched down every time you went o pet him, but after a few short weeks he opened up, and is now an out going little dude… my Little man!!… will upload photos ![]()
Thank You!!
Welcome Bonnie Bunny : )
Are you in Australia or do you just like the name Bondi Beach?
I hope you don’t mind that I’ve reloaded your photos. It just makes it easier for us members to see and fawn over.
The Dad looks like just a Blue dwarf lop to me, I don’t know why you were told “Russian Blue” ![]()
The Dad

The Mum

Bonnie

So cute at that age! I really like her name. My favourite childhood dog was Bonnie and she was shiny black too.
Hi, Bonnie,
They are gorgeous! (Thanks, JG, for reloading the pix so we can see them.)
Are they all hanging out on top of their cages? You just have baby Bonnie now, right?
Be sure to give your buns a habitat without a wire bottom (or with a rug like Dad is on in the first pix.) They develop sore hocks over time from wires and it is very painful and costly to treat.
Looking forward to seeing a pix of Maple. ![]()
At the beach…

Pepper and the crew have a fresh cardboard box with cheese holes. If they ever pause long enough will get a pic.
Your bunnies are adorable. Here is Blossom she is 10 months old<a href='<a originalAttribute="href" originalPath="' target="_blank"

This is Cinnabun, my year old mini lop.

Thought everyone might enjoy these pics of my two tans! Oddly enough, no one seems to have ever heard of their breed. I was wondering if any of you are familiar with or have some tans also?! I love these little babies though. So full of energy and crazy little buns! Perfect animals!

Tan is actually a relatively rare breed. Some rabbits who are just brown are called “tans”, but true tans are medium rabbits with a hare-like body and a rich tan belly. They can be black or brown. Your two tans are gorgeous!
Did you get them from a breeder?
Here’s an old picture of Mr. Bunny and Ms. Rabbit. Mr. Bunny is the albino and Ms. Rabbit is the agouti.

OMG, TANLOVER YOUR BUNNIES ARE SO CCUTEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! ![]()
Those tans are adorable!!! Such an interesting coloring.
All these bunny pics are making my morning!
Tanlover, your bunnies are stunning! Before you mentioned they are Tans, I thought they must be black and tan Belgian Hares. They look so similar, except maybe in size…?

Here is Sophie my Flemish Giant she is 16 weeks old now and only 5 pounds!
(this is her at 11 weeks)
I don’t know why they’re so unpopular — I read a lot about how they are quite a handful to handle for the first time bunny-owner but we got our third one last night and they are all such a blast! They do need a lot of play time though. They are all pretty hyper, you’ll never seen any of them sitting down for longer than 5 minutes unless you’ve exhausted them out with bunny playtime.
And each of them has incredibly different personalities. I love this breed! We did actually get them all from a breeder. I feel slightly bad about it because everyone always gets weird every time I say that instead of getting them from a Rescue but the first one was our first bunny and we just wanted to bring up a baby right from the beginning (2 months is when she let us take him home) and make sure he’d had a good home. We were really worried about not being able to take care of a skiddish or really scared bun the way they should be. BUT then we went to the Humane Society for the 2nd one and picked out a Lionhead who was sooooo adorable. My boyfriend ended up being insanely allergic to him though. (Which is weird because he hasn’t had a problem with our little guys.) After that we just went back to the breeder for the last two. It was heart breaking having to take him back so it just seemed easier and better to stick with a breed we knew he could be around and we LOVE their personalities so it just seemed like the right avenue for us.
Anyways, on a good note — here’s the third one we picked up last night! He’s a chocolate Tan! I’m pretty sure the breeder thinks we’ve turned into crazy bunny people since her tan litter had 4 kits and we have 3 of them now! The last one was a lilac and we wanted him soooo bad but she kept him for showing. He was insanely adorable and such a cool color!

I don’t know a whole lot about Belgian Hares but the Tan does usually get between 4-6 pounds and the males 4-5, we have their pedigrees though and their whole lineage has been on the small size. Only one in the pedigree even made it to 5 pounds and it was just barely. Right now their all around 3 pounds though! The girl is slightly bigger than the boys so far though.
OMG! The Flemish Giants are so adorable! I want one so bad but right now we live in a one-bedroom condo so there’s definitely no room for 3 tans and a humungo Flemish! I want one some day though! I’m so interested in the breed and I’ve heard they are giant sweethearts!
That Flemmie! <3
Huckleberry. Sorry for the blurry black and white photo but she doesn’t sit still for picks and she doesn’t seem to show up in color photos as well lol. Anyway, she is a silver part flemmie we think… not really sure

wow, all these beautiful bunnies/pictures, stories. loving it all. here’s my little girl rosie. she has the softest hair i have ever felt on a bunny. she is very lady like and alert to her surroundings.
This is the best thread ever. More people more!!
All these bunnies are so cute. Here are a couple of Charlee when she was just 6 weeks old:

And this is a more recent photo of her, on her last vet visit 2 weeks ago:

I’ve been through this thread multiple times admiring every bun. Wonderful pics!
This is my lionhead, Hodari. She is approximately a year and a half, and weighs close to four pounds.

We have three bonded pairs!!
Mr. Hopper( 5 YO) & Nibbles( 3YO)

Blue (7Months Old) & Baby (6 Months old)

And Chipmunk & Hazel Both 10 weeks old

@sillysungara your lionhead is beautiful, love her color. Has it been hard to keep her groomed, maintain her mane?
@bullrider, wow! 3 bonded pairs lol how neat but is it because they would not bond together?
awww all these buns are sooo cute, id love to add my photos of my two onto this thread but i have no idea how!!! 🙁
bunnymomz, Thank you for the compliment. Her mane is really easy to comb out; the hair is so soft that any tangles are very minor. I’ve had more trouble with the area around her tail, where the hair is quite thick and knots form from her grooming herself and eating cecals. She doesn’t appreciate having a comb down there.

@Stitchntwinks if you hit reply on this this thread, down toward the bottom there is a “Attachment” area, where you can first upload the pic and then “insert into post”
@sillysungura, yes i have noticed that with my girl, it does seem to get knotted back there a lot.
i’ve been debating on maybe trimming it more regularly
Thankfully my little rascals all have really short bunny hairs — makes grooming them SOO easy and pretty unnecessary. Every time I brush them nothing goes out in the brush and they keep themselves really clean anyways.
Thanks cinnabon mom!!,
@Tanlover – just wait! your buns are still young, their first molt is horrrrriiiidddd! haha my short haired bun hit his around 8 months and I swear my nose and ears were lined, for weeks, with that super fine hair ![]()

My buns ![]()
Malp — OH LORDDD. I am not looking forward to that time. Hahahaha. The two boys already leave enough destruction wherever they step without me having to follow them around with a vacuum cleaner too!
My bun is Momo the Destroyer. She is an 18 month old English Spot. She likes running, destroying, and bullying the cats and dog. People love when I tell them about how my 55 lb boxer/lab gets upset and sulks at me because he is getting tormented by the 5 1/2 lb rabbit.
Taken around Christmas time by a friend who is a photographer
Momo and Me
Her destroying ways
Momo and me when she came home as a 3 month old baby.
@Joyful_muisc : ok the noise that came out of my mouth when I saw that first picture was not human. My Goodness. Bun-napping.
She is quite the bunny centerfold. LOL.
I love seeing everyones bunnies! They’re so beautiful!
This is my 5 month old mini rex/satin Scribbles.
His favorite pose:
Sleepy Scribbles ![]()
Joyful: That first photo is gorgeous. You friend should make prints
Scribbles is adorable. He looks like a sweetie! And I love how he has like one harlequin looking ear <3
@Joyful- argh that first pic is like a rainbow explosion! is he named after a flying lemur
?
Thanks. And no, but so many people think she is named after that Momo (my husband and I are huuuuuuge fans of the series too). She is actually named after Momiji from Fruits Basket for year of the rabbit. It was the beginning of year of the rabbit when we got her, so we thought it was appropriate.
Such cuteness! Almost unbearable!
I will have to share pic of my buns when I get my computer back since I’m stuck on an iPad for now.
My little lionhead Tulip, has pictuures in the welcome thread
@ Bunnymomz, We originally tried to bond Blue with the older two. Mr. Hooper was cool with that, but Nibbles was not having it. So we rescued Baby from a pet store that had her, not thinking she was going to live cause she was so skinny and small when we got her. From the moment Blue met her he accepted her. Then recently, we added the two brothers Chipmunk and Hazel. Well can you say deja vous? Baby doesnt want anything to do with them, so we wound up deciding to keep them as three bonded pairs.
