Hi all. I’m going on vacation soon and I don’t know if I should take my bun with me. I know people might say I should leave him at home but he has really bad separation anxiety. If my family and I go out somewhere Mars will wait right by the door till we come back. he won’t even leave to use his litter box or get a drink of water. when we arrive back home, you can see the clumps of fur falling off him from stress shedding. If there’s only one person at home, he will try to see them and stand/sit next to them. Once I was home alone and he tried to jump on my bed to get to me and fell on his back multiple times. If I do take him with me, I know he will get stressed by the long car ride/ airplane ride. I’m really confused about what to do since both situations will be really, really stressful for him. should I take him with me or leave him with a pet sitter?

How far away are you travelling?
Tbh Id try and check him into a pet sitting place, so that he could be kept safe, and would maybe benefit from not being alone for so long.
Flights are very stressful for rabbits and even though rabbits have been successfully relocated long distance, flying is seen as a very dangerous undertaking for rabbits.
Personally I wouldn’t bring him on a trip that is long enough to require a flight, for such a short holiday.

                Agree with Dface.
