My little Spike is an approximately six-month-old LH. Tonight I noticed she was breathing kind of shallow and fast, faster than she normally would. I figured it was just from being out of her cage and running around, but she still wasn’t breathing calmly enough for me to stop worrying about her. I think the sooner I get rid of her aspen the sooner it will go away, and then I heard little bunny sneezes! Does she need to go to the vet? I feel like an awful fluffmother.

I don’t think it’s necessarily cause for concern if your rabbit sneezes….

Rabbits can breath very rapidly especially if they run around alot.

I guess I would tell you at this point to watch for any discolored discharge from her nose – that could be cause for concern.

Thanks! Crisis averted. She was breathing normally when I fed her this morning. Apparently she just gets huffy if playtime ends before she’s ready for it to end.
