In the last few days I have noticed that when my bunny goes to jump up on her shelf (about 6/7″ tall) she loses her balance and struggles to get onto it.. My partner has noticed that he thinks she’s hurt her left front foot/leg. She only seems to struggle when going to jump on the shelf. She hops around normally, she cleans herself normally, she stretches normally and is a completely normal bunny apart from the odd second when like I say she is trying to get up on her shelf.
She does this when it’s breakfast time as I place her nuggets on it which she is super hyper and excited for, and again at supper time for her veg. She is generally a very skitty (easily startled) yet excitable bunny and will go mad when treats are on the scene. I am just hoping that she has perhaps just applied a little too much pressure herself to it in a mad dash across the room or something (a bit like humans would have a shin splint) and that I don’t have to worry too much and it’ll heal up itself. I doubt it’s broken. She’s not sitting with it raised in the air or anything like that, she still uses it normally.
Any advice would be warmly welcome. I haven’t taken her to the vets as I don’t fancy paying the £140 out of hours fee.
