Waffles has been pooping a lot of fur and I’ve been worried about him getting a hairball. I’ve been brushing him every day, he has short but very thick fur. He will not let me brush his stomach, let alone touch it and I guess that’s where all the fur he’s been ingesting is from. Does anyone have any tricks to get him to let me brush his stomach? Also, I’ve been giving him pineapple juice and I wanted to know how often to give it to him and how much? Thanks to anyone who answers!

If Waffles isn’t the super skittish kind, you can try sitting on the floor and tucking your legs to one side (something like the picture below):

Then put him on your lap and feed him some pellets or greens to keep him occupied. Make sure both his front paws are on the higher lap and the back paws on the lower lap so his belly is at an angle that you can reach under to brush or comb. You can also adjust your lap height and distance between accordingly.

I always brush Kurotta’s belly this way and he doesn’t mind because he’s too busy eating
