I just saw this morning Moccasin got into a whole bag of shelled peanuts…

it looks like she ate about 4 peanuts.. but with the shells on! Is she ok??

She seems happier then ever… binkies are being preformed maybe because she knows she is naughty, or she thinks

I just gave her the best treat of her life! haha.

I gave her a bunch of mint for digestion and some fresh ice water to entice her to drink right now…

        are nuts ok for rabbits??

She probably will be. Nuts are not recommended but they aren’t poisonous.

I researched the HRS lists of foods and nuts, though fattening, are not dangerous for bunnies. They are used in those treats they sell in pet stores that are really bad for bunnies because they have loads of fat and no nutrition, but at least are not toxic. So, you’re probably safe, but do not let her do it again.

Give her lots of hay. Water is good, but ice water is actually too cold. My vet says room temp. is perfect, even on hot days. Watch her poops to make sure everything is coming out on schedule, and if she still behaves well, she’s fine.

I suspect Moccasin is feeling quite pleased with herself at the moment… A bit like a child who found Mums lolly stash…
