Hey guys! I have a blue tort holland lop who is 4 and a half months old now. Her name is Cuddle and she’s probably the best pet I could ever hope for.I have been planning on have her spayed in the near future. So far i have taken her to Colonial Park Animal Clinic in Harrisburg, PA, which is one of the few animal clinics that can treat rabbits near where i live, and they quoted me $285 for her spay surgery. I am not a experienced enough bunny owner to know if thats the usual cost or otherwise too high. However, I do notice the doctor is planning on using Sevoflurance anesthesia during the surgery, which is not what the House Rabbit Society website suggests (isoflurance).
I just want to ask if what the doctor plans on using would be safe for the bunny or if it is the best choice. I have only been there once so I am not sure if the vet is truly rabbit-savvy. The clinic was obviously very busy but only filled with cats and dogs.
