        Hi All,

Long time reader, first time post!

My 18 month old Strauss showed mild head tilt and he was treated for one week so far with Panacur, but is to go on for 28 days in total. He was shaking his head, so the vet suggested putting him on an antibiotic – Septrin. Any experience with this? If so, what was your dose and how did your bun respond? His head tilt is not too bad and some days is perfectly fine, some days not so..

Any experience with this? Has any of your buns got over it?

        Thanks!

I don’t have personal experience, but I do know that head tilt can be caused by an ear infection, not just EC, so it makes sense to treat both EC and a potential infection. It does take some time for panacur to have an effect though, it’s not immediate.

I’m not sure whether the head tilt disappearing some days makes it more or less likely to be an ear infection… To my mind, it makes it more likely as I don’t think EC symptoms fade in and out, but hopefully someone with more experience will jump in once I’ve bumped the post up!

Thanks for that response! Constantly learning with these buns!
