Before we went to bed last night we heard a loud bang, sounding like something hitting their cages. I thought nothing of it as I fixed their salad and thought maybe someone was banging on the cage to get out. I hear my husband say “You have to come here quick!” I start to go towards their room thinking maybe their cage fell apart or something and that’s what the bang was. My husband points to Sandy’s hay rack and I see her head pop up as she’s enjoying hay!
Now mind you that their hay rack is outside of their cage and is built up (as you’ll see in the pic and video below). She JUMPED from the THIRD level and into the hay rack!
So my husband got a few more grids and zip tied them up so she can’t jump out again….well we’re hoping she won’t! I put her back and she stared at the grids (while I was waiting for my husband to get the grids) and looked like she might jump them again! She wasn’t to happy about the extra grids because she started chewing at the bottom of them.
Here’s a picture and video of her enjoying her short lived freedom and endless hay! She tried to get out while I was taking the video but it’s almost like she was thinking “nah it’s no use, I might as well just stay here and eat num num num!”
My husband said when he first went in the room he couldn’t find her until she popped her head up haha!
