  Sammy likes to redecorate, but she never leaves her habitat. Believe me, we leave the door open all day and try to lure her out, even with placing small area rugs there so she won’t have to step on tile, but she won’t step out. Instead, she stays all day under her basket, then comes out to visit in the evening. She comes out for breakfast too, but lately….
  
  She pushes her basket from the inside to move it around her habitat. Lately, it’s gotten closer…and closer…and closer to her food dishes.

  Here’s an idea: what if you tried a tunnel leading from her pen doorway? Maybe she’d venture out when there is overhead cover. It could open out into a cardboard hangout (or basket!) at the other end.

  You asked for it, MM. And her eyeliner has come up that far for quite a while, but it is so much more visible in the movie. Her ears grew, and the white is higher up before the black part starts, so it’s kind of more visible at certain angles, too. Forgive the big white space – that’s where the html embedded code went but failed to show in the post.
  
  JG, I have tried half-assed similar attempts, but that’s a good suggestion. I’ve been thinking that a cover was needed to make her feel more secure, so can try it. That’s why I just got her a new tunnel – so she can have more play places to hide in. It’s a hit. Pix coming up:

  I’d see about getting one of those little display tents from a sportsman shop that they don’t need anymore, bet she’d love that!
