Hello from myself and Rutabaga!
Earlier this year I found my self heading to college and I was extremely lonely and distanced. About the same time I heard of Ru – I spend way to much time on the pet section of craigslist, what can I say? He seemed to be in a really rough place, his main caregiver was a six year old, and I hesitate to say abusive only because she didn’t know any better (I could say more about parents not intervening, but now is not the time). Anyway, neither of us were in a really good place, but over the past month that I’ve had him, we’ve been helping each other.
Personality wise, he is the chillest bunny I have ever met. I only have class in the very middle of the day, so he has free reign of my room for the majority of the time, and he binkies about, lays under my desk, or as he discovered today, jumps on top of his cage to get onto my bed. When he lays under my desk he nudges my foot until I pet him, and I’ve learned how to pet him with my foot while still typing (its harder then it seems). He’s not at all dominate, which really surprised me because he’s my first male rabbit and I had always heard they are so dominate. But he is the sweetest, calmest, most forgiving creature I had ever met.
He’s eight months old, un-neutered but that will likely change come january, and a lion-head/lop mix. I am so looking for our many years together and I hope you all like him as well!
