My 5 month old bunny has a really bad runny nose and hes been sneezing a lot, this has been happening for about 2 weeks and I was wondering if I should take him to the vet cause its been going on for awhile or wait it out cause it could be allergies or a little cold. Spring has just began where I live and there is a lot of pine tree pollen everywhere and I also changed his hay to orchard grass, could those be the reason why hes like this?

To rule out allergies, try switching out the hay and keeping open windows and doors to a minimum. If that doesn’t work, your rabbit most likely may have an upper respiratory infection. Rabbits do not get colds. They’ll contract infections that their immune system cannot fight, so they’ll need antibiotics to kill it or it will get worse.

If you find the sneezing and runny nose is getting worse, this also may be a URI progression and you should see a rabbit vet.
