Hi there!
My name’s Laura and my little rabbit friend is called Rory (Rory because he’s a lionhead and I wanted something lion-y. So Rory seemed appropriate even though he doesn’t roar!
). He’s twelve weeks old and adjusting to being a house rabbit very well. He’s very mischievous and likes doing all the naughty things (scratching/chewing carpet, clawing at furniture, eating my books!). He’s our first bunny so it’s a big learning curve!! My husband and I have had him for three (almost four!) weeks now and are loving having him around. The only problem we’ve encountered in the last few days is he has stopped using his litter tray and started using our couch as his litter tray. We’ve tried putting treats by his litter tray, herding him there when it looks like he wants to go, but he’s insistent – any ideas?
We’re waiting for him to be neutered as the vet says he isn’t heavy enough for the anaesthetic yet (he’s only just over 2lbs!) – I feel kind of bad knowing it will be a little painful for him but I think it’s best for him (I hope it is!).
Anyway, that’s us *waves* – look forward to reading up on bunny care and sharing all of our adventures with you!

Welcome to BB!! Rory is adorable
Once he is spayed it will help a lot with the litter training. Rabbits like to pick places where they are going to go, so in his cage/pen try putting the litter box in the spot that he chose. For other places, try and shoo him away to his litter when you see he is going to go (you’ll learn to see it before it happens). With some rabbits it helps to wipe it with paper towel and put it in his box. BB also has a really good cleaning product for cleaning spills that could help, whatever you do clean it with always use something that has no ammonia in it or he will likely keep going there. A lot of people use a mix of vinegar and water to clean. That didn’t work so well with Ruby but from what I’ve heard it works with a lot of rabbits.

Your little guy is absolutely handsome! He has that look about him also — like he would definitely be a handful!! I know those looks….
This may seem like a silly question BUT do you have lots of hay down in his litter box??
Sometimes you just have to deal with this until he’s neutered though! Even if he is insistent to keep going outside, make sure you don’t stop any of your litter box training habits until he has then down pat! Since he’s not neutered it may seem like forever but once he’s neutered he’ll get them pretty quickly, especially if you haven’t faltered in doing the same process for his bad behavior over and over.
Also, what kind of litter do you use? He may have just decided he doesn’t like the litter you’re using! LOL. They tend to be bratty buns like that…
