So as a few of you know, about a month or so ago we found a bunny in the back of our truck and it was love at first sight. Sadly, Bean passed away on the 5th of this month (June). After her passing I was reculant to let another bunny into my home and heart, but 10 days and much though later, I’d like to welcome 3 new boys into the family.

Not sure if I did something wrong posting the pictures, but they aren’t showing for me, can anybody else see them?
Photos didn’t show up for me.
One to Three! Wowzers, haha! I shouldn’t talk… my one turned into five.
Do you know their ages and if all three are neutered? Are they bonded! So many questions!
Welcome new bun buns! =D
I believe they’re only about 4 months old so they aren’t yet neutered. They’ve been together since birth. I’m on my phone now so I can’t figure out the pictures, but if you go to my profile I have an album filled with pictures of them ![]()
lol yeah TanLover, you can’t have just one…or two…or three bunnies!! hahaha I think four bunnies for me right now is a good number. I just wish my back would heal already! =/
I can’t wait to see what your bunnies look like. =)
I am sorry to hear about Bean. =( Binky Free, Bean!!
Congrats on the new bunnies!
Boys can be neutered at 3 months if they are healthy and their testicles have descended. Are you sure they are all boys?
Here is a tutorial for adding pics:

I’m excited to see your new bunnies!
Fixed the images!
Oh my gosh! They are so cute! Congrats on the new additions!
(A side note: I loved seeing the pic of Romeo next to the beer can. One of our Forum Leaders, KokaneeandKahlua, named her first bun after the beer… lol)
Yes be very sure all three are indeed boys! It’s VERY easy to mis sex a baby bun at that age. Don’t want any suprises lol
They are so cute and Unnamed is so pretty! I can’t wait to watch them grow ![]()
Agree with NBO – I would separate until you are sure they are all boys. They are around the age they become sexually active and the last thing you want to have happen – is one of the little ones to have a litter.
They are adorable! I wish I had more than one right now, but I’m working on it after my Watson gets neutered soon.
Beka, thankyou! Also I was considering naming Romeo, Kokanee, but it didn’t fit him as well in my opinion.
To NBO and TL, we are fairly sure that they’re all male, the lady who sexed them for us is very experienced with rabbits (over 30 years) and I also saw for myself.
Thankyou everyone for the compliments, I’ve got (unnamed) and Romeo with me and of course Im reading out loud. I’m sure if they could, they’d be blushing!
On a side note, Im quite excited for my roommate to settle on a name for (unnamed). He’s her bun technically, just as Bugs is her sisters. In the past two days (unnamed) has been named Bebe, Thumper, Fluffy, and an assortment of other names. So it’s sure to be something interesting.
Interesting – so one is your room-mates? I would highly suggest not bonding him to the others then. Once bonded they must ALWAYS remain together. There is no separating bonded bunnies as it can cause them to go into quite a bad and difficult depression which is dangerous.
Sorry – we are being such downers on this wonderful day! I just want to make sure I say these things so you and the buns end up happy and healthy! ![]()
I should clarify- my two roommates and I each own one of the bunnies (although I seem to be the only one actually caring for them instead of just showing off how cute they are). They have all been together since birth so I believe they are already bonded. I don’t think they will be separated as we are all fairly young and will most likely be living together for the span of their lives, and if not I still wouldn’t allow them to be separated as I know the harm it can cause. If one of us were to move, the bunny would stay with the others, and in the case of all three of us moving I would most likely keep the three of them in my care, and if not they would go to my roommates parents.
And then there were two… Apparently (unnamed) chewed the plastic of the food bowl and it killed him /: two bunnies in under a month.. I can only hope to provide the best to Bugs and Romeo so that they may live a long healthy life.
RIP (Unnamed)
Oh my goodness… poor little bunny. Did he eat a large chunk of the plastic? Just chewing on plastic should not kill a bunny unless a large quantity is ingested.
Have you set them up with vet appts yet? I would get them both in ASAP for a full exam. Also, contact the woman you got them from and let her know that one of them has passed. The litter may have come sick from her.
Binky free baby…
Did he show signs of illness before dying or did he just turn up dead and you saw a chewed on food bowl? He was fine one day and dead the next it sounds like something else could have killed him besides the plastic.
I agree with Beka to get them their first exam, let the vet know of the death even if you are positive it was from the plastic, and all let the person you got them from know one passed away as well. So sorry for your loss
Binky Free unnamed
He showed absolutely no sign of illness previous to his death, and I know Amber (the lady ae got them from) would never have knowingly sold us sick bunnies, my roommates are her neices.
As for the container, we only found about 1/5th of the plastic container so somebody must have eaten it.
The previous owner has been informed and as soon as payday comes along we’ll be taking Romeo and Bugs in for an exam.. Although I’m beginning to think the hutch may be cursed haha ![]()
I was not saying she intentionally sold you a sick bunny. They are EXCELLENT at hiding illnesses but if he died from eating plastic he would have stopped eating and be lethargic for a few days before passing away. It wouldn’t be so quick. He could have had a something cogenital wrong with him without anyone knowing.
Is the hutch painted? Or treated with any kind of termite pesticide or anything? How old is the hutch and where did you get it from? Is the hutch inside or outside?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to rule out environment factors. But if his death was so sudden I don’t think it was the food bowl. It’s odd how both the buns that passed away in the hutch were sudden like this… I’d personally remove the remaining buns until you can give the hutch a good look over.
Good vibes for Romeo and bugs vet visit. I hope they get a good bill of health from the Vet. But be sure to tell the vet about the other one who passed so suddenly.
The hutch is not painted, we got it from a Craig’s list ad. Cleaned it thoroughly before putting the buns in, vaccumed the wire bottom and wiped it off with vinager.
I appreciate you guys helping me figure out the cause of death.

I was mistaken, ‘unnamed’ was actually named Murphy, I was just never informed.
