yes i am, in fact, procrasting cramming for my exam by using alliteration in meaningless ways.  good thing it’s not an english exam

anyways… pinky inspired me to start a thread about rabbitude.  her latest shining example:

she often sits in the hall infront of her bedroom door on the carpet runner.  and when i walk towards her, like a typical bunny, she hops into her room to escape potential capture resulting in being picked up *gasp*.  if i’m moving fast she will high-tail it.  she never does this with the dog.  just sayin.

well the other day she was hanging out further into the kitchen than usual while the dog and i had been there puttering around cleaning (me cleaning, dog not so much).  i started down the hall and passed by where she was loafing.  instead of staying put, realizing that i wasn’t going to ‘get her’ since i was already past, she sprinted by me, cut me off and thumped with impressive force right infront of me before running into her room!  i nearly fell on my face because i had to stop short to avoid tripping over her.  geesh.

so has anyone else been recently put in their place by rabbitude?  do tell!

haha! She’s starting to take over….

I had some major rabbitude from Jersey last week but thankfully it’s falling to normal levels of her brand of rabbitude.

I do see her sometimes grab some food at meal times and take it to the doorway to the rabbit area. She sits there eating it just in case I had thoughts of closing them in.

Rumball surprises me sometimes with his rabbitude which is usually a teeth graze on my leg or shoving my hand. And he has a loud growl but he doesn’t use it much.

          Good luck with your exam!

I’d say that she’s acting like most women do. If they think you’re paying attention to them, they don’t want anything to do with you but if they feel you’re oblivious to them, they need you to worship them.

Okey, I know I’m over simplifying and generalizing stereotypes AND that I’m in the minority Y chromosomes here but MUHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

My little diva has her own, personal rabbitude, that appears to develop and grow as each day passes. (Meaning she always picks a spot every day to do something that either freaks me out or drives me nuts!)

Good luck on your test. ^___^

Otto is turning into a grouchy old man. If I try to pet him when he doesn’t want attention he will first push my hand away with his nose as hard as possible. If I still don’t go, he’ll put his teeth on my finger, without biting down, until I move them. Geez. I get the point!

Hannah isn’t really a diva. She’s bossy towards Otto, and sometimes gets into trouble, but I wouldn’t call her a diva. She has been naughty lately – pushing aside the barriers to the bookshelf, then jumping over the books, and sitting behind them peeking out. Hannah wants to do what Hannah wants to do!

We have two doors from our living room – one to the hall and one to the kitchen.

The kitchen door must be left open at all times. If it is open an insufficient amount either bun will firmly push it wide open. If it is closed, vigorous digging will ensue until the door is opened.

The hall door must be kept closed (I believe there may be a very slight draught otherwise). If it is left open Oxo will push it shut repeatedly until someone shuts it properly.

Incorrect use of the doors generally results in foot flicking.

                  And today…

I use the base of their carrier as a litter tray on the bottom shelf of the bookcase in the living room. The shelves are not solid and somebun kept sitting OUTSIDE the carrier (I’m looking at you, Oxo bear) and eating/pooping which created piles of poop under the bookshelves. So I lined the shelf with cardboard last week. Apparently this is clearly a toilet extension and is ideal for peeing on

Lol. Well, you might just get away with it since us gals do tend to stereotype the male of the species (rabbit & human) on here a lot.

Actually, just last night I watched Rumball hormonally humming and  going after Jersey. He stopped mid-hop as he passed the food bowl and left his pursuit to stop and eat. I thought how typical, 2 things on the brain….

Yesterday my boy went back to college, so I spent a good deal of the day helping him get his stuff put together, sending him off and then I did waste some of it moping. (I’m a mom, it’s what I do.)
As a result, the bunnies missed their morning cleaning, but were thrilled when I heaped on the extra treats and hay and greens in the evening to make up for it.
The extra greens for Mimz may have been a mistake….
Because this morning, Mimzy was not going to let me get away with slacking, so first thing he began shifting his litterbox, flapping his ramp onto his floor as loudly as he could, and then digging all his hay into the corner and peeing all over it. Extra greens tend to do this to him.
By the time I got his pen clean, I had to give him a light butt bath because he had urine all over his feet, which of course he did not appreciate and let me know with several kicks to my stomach and thumps as I put him back in his habitat. He sulked under his shelf all day.
I have been summarily and satisfactorily reprimanded, as far as he’s concerned. Luckily the other two were just happy to see me doing my job earlier than I was yesterday. Perhaps they put him up to it?

Lolli’s pretty easy. Although last week I went out to my dad’s for a while and left her food (pellet) bowl empty. Horror of horrors! In my defense, she had PLENTY of hay. So when I walked through the door, she was sitting near her bowl, all disapproving and grumpy. It was such a disapproval that I’m surprised I didn’t die on sight. LOL

Eddie was the high maintenance one. Foot flicks for just looking at him. Ankle bites if I was in his way. I like to take baths and I couldn’t take a bath for a few weeks after he died cause I always had to leave the door open. (I still showered. ) He always had to hop in and poke around and check to see where I was. So if I accidentally completely shut the door, he would scratch at it till I opened it. I swear he got grumpy when I was on the phone. He didn’t like me talking to others, even Lolli. lol He was a little nut. I miss him so much!

Stormy shows the cats a lot more rabbitude than me. My kitten rarely comes in the living room when he is out. Last night she was sleeping in the living room in her cat tent and Stormy tried to go in so she gave him a little swat with her paw. He then stomped and bulldozed his way into the tent and the kitten retreated to the basement for the rest of his run time. He’s also a couch bully. He likes to send them running when they are lounging on “his” couch. The only cat who would ever put him in his place was Nefera but now that she’s gone he’s like Mini-Rex gone wild. Funny that he’s the smallest member of my house but he’s pretty much in charge.

Speaking of stomping; What’s up with that little throaty sound bunnies make before stomping?

ya i dont know about that sound lpt. pinky throws out hum right before her thumps and also when i’m feeding her pellets or greens. i assume it’s to punctuate irritation / greed. lol

Merry’s all rabbitude this week! She’s poking her head everywhere it’s not supposed to be – rattling the NIC fences, trying to jump over other barriers – then there’s that radiator thing! And with all that I get bunny butt for most of the night!

babybunsmum- A hum. That’s it. I was trying to think of the right word to describe that sound.

I have been blocking Lolli from my bedroom again. I found a nice sized pile of poop next to where she lays. It’s a bit cluttered and messy so until I can clean well and then put a litterbox down, she’s not allowed in there. She has been grumpy and growling at me today. LOL Of course she might be grumpy cause I won’t let her have any of my cereal. Or treats whenever she wants. Basically, she’s not getting her way and she’s not happy! LOL

Peppy’s gone beyond honking/stomping when I tell her no…now, before she chews things she’s not supposed to, she’ll give me a PRE-EMPTIVE honk/stomp as if to say “okay I’m going to chew this now, and you can’t stop me!”

My boyfriend has re-written “Twist and Shout” by the Beatles to “Honk and Stomp” as a paean to Peppy’s rabbitude
