Late last night I finally put my Frankie to rest. He was a couple months over 10 years old! He’d been blind for several years but over the last 6 months his cataracts had developed into glaucoma and he developed dental disease. My vet was helping with pain management and treating the dental disease as it came up, but yesterday he suddenly seemed very out of sorts and the emergency vet guess that he was dealing with acute pasteurella/something affecting his lungs and a very high fever. Due to his age I decided to have him cross the rainbow bridge instead of pursuing stressful procedures that may have made things worse. He was a huge part of my life since I was a teenager, I don’t know what I’m going to do without him, but I’m so glad to have wonderful memories of how crazy and spunky he was.

I’m so sorry for your loss. 🙁 Ten is a wonderful age for a rabbit, and what an adorable little guy! It sounds like he had a wonderful life with you. <3
