I get a bit paranoid after losing a pet and end up taking all of the rest for a checkup at the vet. Everyone did great all tail wags, meows, the snake didn’t strike at anyone, and lip smacking (hedgehog happy sounds). But nooooo Monty couldn’t be calm.
First he bites me the second his carrier was opened which didn’t surprise me. But usually once he is out and about he is perfectly fine. The vet comes in and a student. Before I can get a word out about him biting the student immediately reaches for him and chomp he didn’t just make her bleed he bit a big ole chunk out of her arm!
You could just tell she was not prepared for that by the scream and shocked look that something that tiny and fluffy just took a hunk out of her arm. But luckily she wasn’t bothered enough to freak out at me. So while she is off getting fixed up the vet wisely puts on gloves and turns his back towards her to check his hind legs. Too bad she didn’t have a face mask… She bent down to pick something up and he peed all over her face. I didn’t know whether to die of embarrassment or laugh hysterically. I opted for the latter.

There’s a wiser vet student making her way through the world today for sure! And it’s not often you can give a qualified vet an “education!”
Well I have to say I like Monty! And glad to hear all the furbabies came through with good reports.

His new enemy is the brush. He luckily doesn’t try to attack me when being brushed but he has knocked the brush out of my hand and across the room more than once.Can’t wait for those hormones to fully kick in…. Lol.

sounds like Fiver. He hates the brush/comb/lint roller with a passion and would box anything I came at him with. I’ve only recently been able to get him to take his metacam each night by sucking it out of the syringe himself…before I had to catch and hold him and that has left me with some serious scars down my arms. He doesn’t like being picked up but usually if you are holding him comfortably in your arms he does okay. He’s had to have alot of bummy baths lately though and he really fights those.
