I just saw this on my Dusty’s face today after work, and I’m incredibly scared. I can’t take him to the vet until Monday, can anyone tell me if they have any idea what this might be? And that hopefully it won’t be too late then… . I’m just freaking out, and I have no idea where else to go. He’s not bleeding, they just look like random bald spots, the skin is just naked and exposed. I’m so scared I don’t want my baby to be in pain… Shadow the bunny he’s bonded to, doesn’t show anything like it either.

Is he itchy? Or is shadow over grooming him? Maybe skin mites? Hopefully someone chimes in soon. Either way, Monday it won’t be too late to take him to the vet. He’ll be okay until then. Watch the two to see if shadow might be over grooming his nose.

Is he shedding? Does he actually behave like he’s in pain?

He’s not exactly acting as if he’s in pain, but he’s not as social and kind of more skittish right now. He just wants to stay in his hidey holes…

I don’t think he’s shedding, if he was, does the bald patches on his face match or look like that?

My husband thinks shadow might be overgrooming him, since Shadow shows no visible differences, and actually still acts the same.

Sorry if I’m over reacting, I’ve never seen it before and it scares me .

It’s understandable to be worried. I think that over-grooming is a good candidate, too.

Try swapping out their toys with different things to see if that gets him more interested in those instead of grooming her. Usually bored buns do this. Keep the vet appointment though just in case

I actually tried to sit still ahaha and watch the boys interactions. And yeah its shadow, I hear him munching down oh the hair as he was grooming Dusty. My husband gave shadow a little stuffed animal toy and shadow just went on to groom the toy. Hopefully that’ll let his fixation on Dusty disappear!

Yep! Give him lots of different toys and change them out often (if you don’t switch them, they get bored even if they have 200000 toys) is the best way!
