The OC Animal Care Shelter, which is 3 miles away from my place, is holding their February Adopt a Shelter Rabbit Month event, where you get $20 off a bun with a bunch of free goodies! There is this ADORABLE BUNNY THERE! I just want to go over there and snatch him up!!! Thing is I already have two boy buns and worry if its even a possibility at the moment. He’s 4 months old, and I have no idea how big he’ll get. My boys are 7-8 months old and are Dwarf Netherlands. I was really lucky to get two boys to bond so easily, but I have no idea if I could introduce a third one… Also even if I did would all I need is another litter pan, bed, food and water dish, and a separate cage…right? Idk I worry if I have enough space for three buns, the boys pen/cage is about 4 feet by 11 feet. I know it may not be the wisest right now, seeing I would want to make sure I can achieve enough space for everyone without placing any them in a stressed environment. But I can’t help looking at him, I think my husband has seen the photo over 10 times today. He’s so freaking cute with his crooked mustache and all! I hate falling in love with every bunny I see . I just want to take a look at him tomorrow….though I might end up taking him if I do…

          He’s very cute!

Same gender buns aren’t any harder to bond than male/female. A lot of people say that it is, but that’s just a myth. So all of them being boys won’t be a problem, generally. Of course there’s still no guarantee that they will bond. If you have the means to keep three buns even if this one doesn’t bond with your pair, I’d say go for it.

Yup, that’s called bunny fever. We all have it and there’s no cure.

What a precious baby! You know best if this might work for you. It sounds like you have enough space for a trio. The pic looks like a smaller breed, maybe even a lop mix? Once he’s neutered, I would be tempted to try and add him in.

The temptation is so so hard to resist isn’t it. This summer I was at a sheep and wool fair (since I spin yarn) and there were a bunch of vendors selling young angora bunnies. My son is falling in love with them and saying Porky needs a friend, they are the cutest most ridiculously fluffy things ever, and they would even provide me with endless amounts of fluff for spinning.

However, I don’t have time space and money to set up and care for another another bunny. Plus this one would be much more work than Porky since Porky being a short haired bunny is selfcleaning.

So, I was a grown up and resisted.

Aw Eepster. Nothing beats the personality of an angora!!!!!!!!!!! I love love love them. They can be tough to keep from getting hairballs and dying, though. When I was younger I didn’t appreciate the importance of hay. Now I do and will some day get an angora. But if he wants something in between, check out Jersey Woolys. Good personality, smaller bunny and less fur, so you couldn’t spin it, I don’t think. But boy are they great. Wanted a stray one they had at the shelter, but he died during anesthesia 🙁
