        Hey

So I have a 3 month old holland lop.

She has the large Oxbow habitat and play pen for her when I am at work. And then I let her play around my apartment when I am there. Her cage has chew blocks, hanging hay balls, willow twig thingy, rattle balls, straw balls- lol pretty much anything I can find she might like- cardboard boxes galore lol.

        – whether lounging in her pen, or bounding around the apartment, she doesn’t seem to interested in her toys- doesn’t really chew her boxes- I add a couple treats and hay to entice. They only things she’s interested is digging on my pants and chewing my jeans- which kinda hurts lol. Anyone have any ideas on what might appeal to miss picky?! Lol.

        – Bun Bun has peed on my sofa. ??. She’s not spayed yet – too young. I tried the vinegar and water mixture- got rid of most the smell. Yea! But not all. Can anyone give me advice as to what might work on a fabric material? Will her peeing on soft surfaces stop when she’s spayed?

        – I want to make a c & c pen for her as her normal pen- but it’s hard to find the panels and hugely expensive to import. So it’s a process. In the meantime, she has the large oxbow habitat. That’s said- does anyone know how to properly connect the play pen to the crate? I got mine second hand, so no institution. And I can’t find anything online to show. Currently Bun Bun is able to sneak out of the side pen so anyone have an idea as to how to properly connect it to the crate? Right now I have pasta cans blocking the gap.

        – finally, and thank you for the patience- the ever so fun nail trimming! She loves pettings, loves to cuddle- I regularly touch her paws, check her eyes, ears and teeth… but when it comes to nail trimming…I swear she knows it’s coming and squirms and jumps away. I’ve tried several tactics- the holding them against you and one leg at a time, the one where they are on their back- don’t want to do that to her – mixed reviews and just resting her in my lap… and none work..I don’t want to scare her and I don’t want to hurt her when she squirms- ideas?

          1) She just may not enjoy chewing on those particular items. As long as hay consumption is high, it shouldn’t be a problem for her, unless she genetically had bad teeth.I Afar out explanation is her teeth are bothering her. Some rabbits chew on certain fabrics when that happens.

          2) She won’t stop marking it because it’s a nice soft place. To minimize it, putting a fabric down that smells like her may help.

          3) I’d use zip ties to attach them.

          4) Are her nails long enough to need cutting? This is something you’ll need to work out with her, getting her comfortable and adapting. Having another person helps if that’s an option. With Wick, as he grew and began getting more comfortable, I had to change methods based on how I read his body language. I will say that when needed, just holding a squirming rabbit firmly isn’t really harmful unless you’re hurting him/her.
