Rabbits wheezing

My rabbit was running around and then stoped and started making a wheezing sound he was also using his hands to do something around his nose and mouth area at first I thought he was trying to get something out of his mouth or nose or maybe he was sneezing. Right away I ran over and gave him pets and he stoped then I gave him some water.does anybody know what this sound could be. Should I take him to the vet tomorrow?

Something may have gotten into his nose or mouth, like a weird piece of hay. If he begins sneezing or starts making weird sounds consistently, definitely see a vet. It may be helpful to listen to his breathing in person and see if you can sense any struggle.

I agree with Wick, this could’ve been sth that had gotten stuck and the problem is gone now. But if he keeps wheezing, booking him a vet visit is important because it could be a lower respiratory tract infection that needs to be treated with antibiotics and perhaps a bronchodilator. Keep a close ear (rather than eye, I mean) on him these next few days.
