Ok so Iam currently treating my bun for e.cuniculi she’s two weeks into treatment and she’s improving very much however she’s appeared to developed sneezing fits within the last few days. She only has heavyish breathing during these. I’m not sure if it’s an allergy (as there are brown things coming off trees atm) or snuffles she appears to be very more active (especially today most I’ve seen her move since she got e.cuniculi:laugh or could it be a upper respiratory infection ? I don’t see any mucus or anything around her nose nor is she off her food or water (she’s regained her weight since her she was diagnosed with e.cuniculi) she dosent look sore or anything. She is currently on baytril and panacure. Her brother whom she lives with dosent sneeze and he is being treated for e.cuniculi too. I plan on taking her to the vet (sometime this week as I’ve got some exams on) and getting advice but it’s doesn’t appear to hurt her. nor has it spread. Can anyone help? As I’d like to got the vet sooner but just I’ve got exams
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!!!!

It could be a URI, yes. Since her immune system is using resourced to fight EC, it may be failing at surpressing the URI, so now symptoms are emerging. Baytril is one medication commonly used for URIs, but if sneezing is getting worse while she’s on it, it means it’s not attacking the specific URI strain she has either strength wise or genereal type. You should bring this concern to your vet and see if adding another antibiotic for a URI is plausible, based on your rabbit’s condition. Floxacillin injections can be used to treat certain URIs.
