Rabbit Safe Litter spray

Hello! I in need of a rabbit safe spray i can use so that Alfie’s litter doesnt stink up the room! I’m hoping we can find something 100% safe and will eliminate smell Thanks!

How often are you cleaning the litter box? I have 3 huge boxes for my 3 rabbits and they never smell.

It’s not that it smells bad, but since I am moving to a rental, I need a spray that will make it smell fresh.

If you have access to any fresh (or dried/not treated) rosemary or lavender you can put sprigs of that in. If the buns eat it there’s no problem as it’s rabbits safe.

I use wood stove pellets, and there is never any smell-What kind of litter do you use? You should not be stinking up even a small apartment unless it’s getting very dirty and wet. I dump the litter box weekly and there really is no smell from two.
Maybe try some potpourri around to help if you find your sensitive to the smell? It’d be natural and smell nice-or what Roberta suggested adding some nice smells from lavender to the litter.

There aren’t really safe chemical fragrances to keep on litter. Scented litter is a no no for a reason. But, wood stove pellets have no smell if the box is kept clean and the buns are altered (seriously, I can put my face next to their boxes unless it needs cleaned) so a small apartment shouldn’t smell from it.

You can shave sprigs of cinnamon and dry lavender and bag it and hang it on the wall well above the litter boxes if you need to make it smell of something else. Keeping a box of baking soda (well out of bun reach) in their room can soak up the smell of when it starts to neer changed as well. Another good trick for small areas is to boil water, cinnamon and orange peels in a pot and let the steam spread (no lid). Leaves everything smelling like fresh pie all day.

Also, remember when changing out the box, wash the box itself in hot water and vinegar. The plastic smells if you don’t wash it.
