I have an online friend who lives in Nampa, Idaho.  She has two male rabbits who were fine before they got neutered,  Now neutered, they are literally trying to tear each other apart.  She and her husband have tried several bonding sessions with them and all have ended with blood shed. She does NOT want to get rid of Frankie – the bunny she brought home from a petstore.  But she doesn’t know what else to do as she lives in an apartment with her husband and daughter and doesn’t have a lot of room.  She is not the type to just get rid of a pet just because she’s having a bit of difficulty with it.  She waits until her husband is home and her child is in bed before she attempts to bond them so that she has help.  She wants Frankie to have the best life he can have even if it means rehoming him.  She will keep him if she doesn’t feel comfortable letting him go to another home.  She said she’ll make it work, but he’d have to be kept in their bedroom and it’s not the ideal life she has for him.

If she decides to rehome Frankie, does anyone know of any rabbit rescues/sanctuaries in Idaho or the surrounding states that would possibly take him?  She tried the Washington HRS and said she didn’t get much help when she called them.

She may try her local petfinder online and see if there are foster homes for her bunny.

The same thing happened between cotton n laith when Laith got neutered.   2 months later Cotton started chasing Laith and I had to seperate them.   They each had their own play spot n play time n cuddle time with me.

I dont’ know what happened.   Laith was 3 or 4 months older than Cotton was.   Maybe they reached that age or something.

Unfortunately Laith was put down he had health issues poor fellow.

my apmt is small     ruby  gets the bedroom all day n cotton gets the living room all day

tried bonding but i see cotton is too jealous for it to work      even seperated he is totally jealous

Why don’t you have her post on BB for help with bonding to see if we can give her advice on trying to bond them. Bonding takes time and patience and she can get some support from BB’ers who have gone through bonding too.

Most sanctuaries and rabbit rescues do not take owner surrenders, they take rabbits from shelters who are going to be euthanized.

Ah ok. Shoot. lol She was going to talk to her husband about putting Frankie in their bedroom. She really doesn’t want to give him up. I suggested she post on here, but I don’t know if she will or not.
