Now,  I’m not worried about her mind you, but rather perplexed. She’s healthy and fine. Eating her hay, pellets, treats and supplements with zero issue. Puck will eat any veg or herb you toss his way. Opie is a little more picky, but will still eat herbs and veg….River, however will SNUB all greens. These are NOT my first rabbits, however, this is the first rabbit I’ve encountered that will not eat fresh forage. Any tips, tricks, ideas to get her interested? I like to include the herbs and veg as treats to help balance their diets, so this is putting a little damper on that routine with her!

Hey there! You could try enticing her to try them by mixing in some apple. What i would do is get a garlic press, put a piece of apple and toss the herbs/veg in the apple juice/puree. However if you don’t have one of those, you could use a blender or even just squish it by hand. Hopefully that will help!

Of course dont feed bunnies apple everyday, tons of sugar and stuff, but maybe this will get her to at least try them! Maybe she will find she likes them!

Oh for sure, they don’t get fruit too often at all. Hopefully she’ll like apple. I tried with banana, didn’t work. Tried with her oats, didn’t work. She is the most stubborn rabbit I’ve met!

My bun doesn’t like a lot of things either. We’ve tried banana, apple and carrots – all supposedly a big time favourite for bunnies – and he turned his nose up at all of them. We tried grapes too and he only ate about half a grape.

We then fed him some thyme, which he gobbled up quite fast. So I’m beginning to think that he will like other kinds of herbs too (hopefully)! I suppose patience is key here – you may just have to keep trying with different greens until you find her preferences

Welp reporting back, thank you for the suggestions. Alas, none of them worked, and I’m thinking she is just a very picky rabbit at this point! Ah well!
