I’m wondering if anyone here is into gardening. If so, I have a few questions. I researched and found that Rabbit poo it very good for the garden, however, I’m wondering if the uring is ok too as long as it’s mulched first? If anyone knows, that would be great! Thanks!

From some reading I have done the urine helps break down the poo and is supposd to be good to mix in the garden.

Yes poo is an excellent furtilizer. The best their is.

I have heard the same, as long as it is first composted (or mulched). I use lone star bedding as litter, which is also compost-able so I just dump the entire litter box into my compost pile!

I asked my gardner friend (who is also a biologist) and this is what she said

“It would be fine as long as it is mulched or composted first. The urine is high in nitrogen and could burn plants if applied directly, but in the composting process or by mixing it with mulch, a high carbon source the effects are neutralized. ”

She also said one of HER gardening friends was looking at her box of bunnypoo with envy!

I have a nice little pile in the side yard that will be perfect for this spring planting. I use yesterdays news, so it composts beautifully.

I have gardeners that actually have to “take turns” to get our “poo” … it’s great in the garden.

If you find loose ones in the house… your house plants love it too.!

poo tea is a great thing too….

                    gardners love it all!

good luck, happy bunnies, and happy gardening!
