rabbit is not eating

I just went to give my 2 rabbits their pellets, which usually gets them both really excited.  Misty went to eat them, but Daphny is hunched in the corner. I even put some fresh hay by her nose, but nothing.  I am really scared about this behavior and I don’t know what to do.  I’m going to look up more info after I make this post.  I have the buns with me while I am visiting someone so they have been in their carrier for a while. Maybe I need to let them out more?  They tend to poop everywhere–still territory marking it seems–so I’d only let them run around in the bathroom.  Even so, why is Daphny withdrawn but Misty is acting normal?

maybe daphny just doesnt want to eat while u are there? put something in she likes like romaine or parsley see how that goes down if she was eating normally up until now it may just be due to the travelling, if it doesnt get any better soon i would advice a vet but try some greens first

Oh boy, bunnies not eating and sitting hunched is never a good thing.  Have you noticed if the bunny has pooped at all?  Can you offer some greens that the bunny normally likes to tell if she’ll take those?  She could be stressed from the trip and new environment, but stress can trigger tummy problems, so you are right to be a little concerned.  Definitely let her out in a bathroom to wander around a bit.  Territorial poops would be good in this case, because you know that her system has not totally shut down.  She needs to eat in the next few hours, or she may get really sick.  Please watch her closely and let us know how she is doing.

yes – how is she? if she’s still not eating well, she needs to get into the vet asap, since then it’s a stasis issue and not just a behavioral or stress reaction.
