Rabbit is getting neutered.

I’ve officially booked an appointment to get my rabbit neutered because his testicles have descended (at 5 months of age). I was just wondering what I should bring to the vet and what I should do when I bring shadow home. He gets neutered on August 15th. He will be getting pre blood work done to make sure there are not risks when hes under. He will also be staying overnight so the vet can watch him. So what should I bring and what do I have to to when I bring him home.

Since he is staying over night, he is going to need his water bowl, a small litter box, and a food dish. Of course, pack along some hay, greens, and a few extra treats If he has a blanket he sleeps on often, bring the blanket too

You’ll also want to prevent him from hopping and jumping a lot, so you may restrict his free roam space, remove any steps he’d usually climb, and also clear his paths of obstacles.

For incision health, make sure his litter box and environment is clean, check the incision every day, and make sure hay is relatively piled to on side so he’s not accidentally hopping on it and irritating the incision.
