        Hi my bunnys have been on burgees excel pellets since they were 10 week old they are now almost 18 weeks, i accidently bought the burgees excel light pellets, will these be ok? They only have a tablespoon on a morning and on a night

          I don’t think it will hurt them but I looked it up and it’s basically a diet food. Since they’re babies they need a bit of extra calories so I would at least increase the amount you are feeding them if you’re going to keep that, plus of course keep up with their  hay and greens!

            If your buns are a good weight and eat plenty of hay, or alfalfa plus grass hay, they will be fine. The HRS recommends that baby buns should have almost free access to pellets, but since you havent done that, you should t start now. You could gradually increase the daily serving though, if you feel your buns are less than an ideal weight. Since young rabbits grow rapidly, they benefit from some extra protein and calcium. If they have alfalfa, pellets are a lot less important though  since alfalfa is high in both protein and calcium.
