This last six months have been solid ear infection for him. They haven’t gone away at all. He has tried most medications except for penicillin. He has had a surgery to put holes in his ears so pus can drain out, but they closed up over night. He gets his ears cleaned out with q tips every morning and night. The next steps are to open up his ears and put in beads coated in antibiotics or to try penicillin. After that we have no more options. On the medications he isn’t getting worse, but the costs are very high. I desperately want him to live and be happy, but I don’t know what to do. Does anyone have suggestions for what we can do to get him better?

Well my lop had ear infections for 2 years and we tried so many meds and nothing worked and then it would make her stop eating hay and then grow spurs and go into stasis and she was such and angry nun. We had a CT and saw that her middle ear was infected and so much scar tissue that she had to have a TECA-BO surgery where they remove everything including the ear drum and now she is happy as can be, she’s never been happier or sweeter so that was the last option and we had to do it, her middle ear was full of pus.
