I’ve had my rabbit for about almost a month. Sadly I did not adopt, in my area there is no where to adopt rabbits. At the place I got my rabbits (I got 2, they are siblings) they were both about a little bit more than a month old. When I took them home, I started to learn about their personalities and whatnot. 1 of my bunnies (Taya) has began acting rather strange though. Taya’s poops are smaller than usual and is not that active anymore. He/she sometimes goes behind my curtains and just stays still like a statue for about 5 minutes. What can Taya possibly have??

She could have a tummy ache. If a bunny gets indigestion, gas forms, and if the gas can’t come out, it creates a tummy ache. You can try giving baby gas drops (simethicone). You give 0.5-1 ml, then you give a second dose about an hour later. Baby gas drops can be bought at Walmart or similar places. It’s not a medicine that’s absorbed by the body, it just acts locally in the intestines and helps the bun pass gas.

What is their diet like? They should have access to water and grass hay 24/7.
