does anyone have anneutered unspayed buns. how are their litterbox habits ?   do they mark? do  they spray? I am wondering if all buns spray when reachign maturity

I remember my buns I had 8 does 3 bucks and only 1 of the bucks sprayed from my recollection.   I am just curious how this works in house buns.

I had an uspayed female bun as my first bun. There were always puddles everywhere and she did nothing but try to get onto my bed to urinate on my pillows. granted, we didn’t have the best relationship since I didn’t know how to take care of bunnies then but still, the floor always had a wet spot on it whenever I let her out of her cage.

I currently have two unspade females bunnies. Cookie is good about using her litter box in her cage. But outside her cage I have to clean up after her. Cookie sprays a little and leaves droping everywhere. I also have Lucy and she marks everywhere, all over her cage and on the floor…ect….. it hasn’t  been fun with the two girls.

Lucy is going to be spayed tomorrow and once we know she going to be ok after sergery and finaces allow us Cookie is going to be spayed as well.  I know its better for them in the long run of things. As well as our vet is a big beliver in getting the girls spayed asap.  Because she knows cancer is a big problem in unspayed females.

Meadow was pretty much 75% trained right from when we got her. but keep in mind she was not a tiny baby… she was already about 4 months old. she had a couple pee accidents pre-spay, but has been 100% ever since. all i really did was provide the litterbox, the hay, and toss the poos in the box and it was easy with her.
