Hello everyone! I’m new to the forum and this is the first time I’ve ever had a rabbit as a friend.

So Peter is a four year old Holland Lop who I just adopted from the humane society I volunteer at – adopted him this past Monday. I’ve been volunteering there for almost a year now and have been working with the bunnies for a good few months. Peter just came to us a month ago, so I was able to be around him during that time – since I cleaned and played with the bunnies while volunteering. All the bunnies there get a large dose of veggies in the mornings every day, so he’s no stranger to leafy greens.

My question is, even though he’s been given veggies for a good month before I adopted him, should I wait a week and gradually introduce him to the veggies? He’s had romaine and carrots (which I won’t give a lot) at the humane society. Should I just continue giving him romaine daily and wait to slowly introduce the other greens?

I’m feeding him the same Kaytee Timothy pellets and Timothy hay as my work did.

Romaine would be fine if that’s what he’s been getting. After a week or two, you can start introducing more.

Thank you! I just wanted to be sure before doing anything else.
