Hello!
This past weekend, I graduated from college and moved home with my rabbit. This move was a 16 hour car drive, and he did very well! He ate greens and hay, however did not drink much water.
Now that we are home, his litter-box training has gone out the window. He used to never go to the bathroom outside his litter (besides the odd territorial dropping). Now, he is going to the bathroom everywhere! I was not originally worried because I read that for a week or so he is trying to mark his territory in a new place, but things have almost gotten worse.
I had to leave him in his cage while I ran some errands (worried he would pee on my carpet again), and I came home thinking that things were going well (pee and poo in the litter box). I decided to let him out in his pen, but as he hopped out I noticed that his whole underside was wet!
I guess he peed in the corners of his cage then decided to sit in it?
Another odd thing is that his water consumption has increased a lot, which is odd seeing as we moved from a desert state to a cooler state.
Should I be worried, or give him a couple more days? Anyone have experiences moving long distances with rabbits?
Thanks!
