I have a mini rex, but she’s been having a problem with her right eye on and off. I noticed that around her right eye seemed a little red and looked a little watery about a month ago. It seemed like she might have just scratched it. So I held a warm, wet wash cloth to it a couple times a day and in a few days it was back to normal. A couple days ago I noticed it again, but this time it seems like she’s losing a little bit of hair around it, too. My first thought was snuffles, but she hasn’t been sneezing and doesn’t seem to have a runny nose. Other than this, she’s acting completely normal. Any ideas?

Can you post a photo of the eye?
The best thing is to consult a vet who really has experience with rabbits.

Hmm, could be a blocked tear duct. Since she isn’t sneezing or congested, it makes me think it isn’t an infection. But another idea is tooth roots. They can become overgrown and irritate the eye socket and ducts.
