a friend of mine thinks her rabbit is pregnant (that maybe she put him with the boy to soon, it was 30 days from the neuter, maybe a couple days shy though. I couldn’t tell myself but she said her rabbit baby is fatter and now she can feel the nips which she hadn’t knoticed before. Now her boy is having fur fights with baby all of the sudden and they are bonded. I checked her myself I didn’t feel any "olives" as I read somewhere that it feels like little olives in the belly. her belly did feel a little harder then normal though.

how old is the girl?  she may be reaching puberty and that’s why the nipples are becoming noticeable and she’s picking fights due to hormones.  she may be getting bigger just because she’s getting older too.

Yes, unfortunately you really can’t tell with rabbits. I did read up on it and nipples are not a sign of pregnancy, since the nipples don’t drop like they do in dogs and cats, until after the birth! The only way you can really tell it to wait for babies (max length recorded pregnancy that I found was 33 days though typically 28-31). I think even vets have a hard time feeling “olives”. Even nesting usually doesn’t happen until a day or two before the babies are born….This is all book-learning though, never had a pregnant bunny

Hi Amy, I have the same thoughts and agree with everyone, it isn’t always very easy to tell and maybe a visit to the vet would be a good idea to find out for sure. The fights could be on account of hormones but also a pregnant female will chase off the mate as well.
