I recently got a new bunny, and this is the first bunny I’ve had inside – all the others have lived outside or somewhere other my room. She’s a holland lop (So I am told, but her coloring does resemble that and her ears are the exact same) Anyway. I was wanting to potty train her to let her be more of a free roaming rabbit, and not have to worry much about cleaning up her pee. She’s done well so far at not making a mess or pooping (From what I see) but I still get anxious when I can’t see her. I recently went to the store and got a little litter box, since she’s so small, and placed some of her poops and stuff that is covered in her pee in the box (as I saw from a video) Yet… No luck. She did sit on it today but ended falling asleep while just staring at me like I was weird. I’m not sure if I should urge her to keep going on the litter box, or what to really do to successfully train her to do so. Any tips would be really helpful since I’m new to the whole indoor bunny xD

Notice if she picks are particular corner, and put the box in that corner. Most bunnies go to the bathroom where they eat, so put her hay in her litter box. It’ll encourage her to go to the bathroom there. A lot of buns enjoying hanging out in their litter box too, which is helpful for us Just make sure you don’t use pine shavings in her litter box.

How old is she? If she’s still a few months old, litter training is going to be pretty difficult once hormones kick in. When she becomes hormonal she’ll probably start going to the bathroom every where. Just keep that in mind.
