Bean is a 3 month old lionhead, the other day he had peed on a jacket and i noticed it was more of a milky susbstance. I didnt think much of it until i gpt home yesterday and his litterbox(lined with newspaper) had this thick white milky substance. I have been feeding him alafalfa hay but after research fpund out its high in calcoum and is probably causing it, i bought new hay. Now when his pee dried it has a white powder texture to it. Hes drinking and eating normally! Please help i dont want to take him to a vet unless i know its something serious, he also isnt acting loke hes in pain but his poos have been a bit darker and wetter since ive noticed.

White powder is common when pee dries, especially in hormonal bunnies. It’s nothing to be concerned about

I agree with A&B, but You can always try and get a fresh sample of it and take it to the vet and they can run it under a microscope and see if there are a lot of crystals in it!

Sounds like calcium in the urine, which is normal. Rabbits will have more or less calcium in their urine, depending on their diet. If you’re unsure, MediRabbit has a a picture of sludge… which really looks more like wet cement: http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/Uro_gen_diseases/generalities/Sludge.htm
