my peanut is 6 months old. We got her when she was about 8 weeks old and always been very good with the litter box. but recently she started to poop and pee outside of her litter box. pooping at different places actually. She is not spayed yet, was wondering if that will help at all. Thanks.

Hormones tend to influence litterbox behaviors, my girl perfected her litterbox behavior about 6 weeks after she was spayed. She’s now 7 months old and I’d say 99% of all poo is in her litter box, there may be an occasional in her cage that likely bounced out as she was running out

Unaltered rabbits tend to have not-very-good litter box habits. Before my rabbit was fixed, he could never be 100% litter trained, as he would just go wherever he wanted, no matter the amount of training. But after his neuter, I only needed to litter train him again and now he makes it to the box 99.9% of the time. So I think just get your bun fixed and try to re-train her.

I agree that at her age it will be hormonally driven and the best way to counteract it will be to have her spayed.
