Please help me resist these powerful urges

Sometimes, my rabbits are so cute that I want to pick them up and squeeze them so hard that they become one rabbit.

Seriously one of these days I’m going to be late for work because I couldn’t stop petting them. help me.

Sometimes I’m looking at Luna and I go over and give her pets and then I’m like ‘ you’re so shweet I just wanna squeeeeeze you!’

Did you know there’s a term for this phenomena? It’s called cute aggression. When we see something cute, we get the urge to lash out physically. Interesting, eh?

Sometimes I can’t resit the urge and I pick up Porky and nuzzle my face in his fur and I can tell he’s all worried I’m going to clip his nails and just wants down, When I put him down he hops into his condo and gives me dirty looks.

Ah, the urge to pick up a bunny and kiss its beautiful little furry nose – I fight this moral battle every day =)

Yup, they are super irresistible thats for sure. I just asked Bindi this morning ” Do you have any idea how ridiculously cute you are? ” He’s like a living stuffed animal. My favorite thing in the world is to hug him. Lucky for me, he loves hugs and snuggling.

My boys also love snuggling, fortunately. It’s just being picked up they hate.

LPT: I too have frequently asked my bunnies if they realize how alarmingly cute they are. I’ve never got any easily interpreted answers though. They usually just stare at me, with a hint of disapproval =)

Well I should print out this thread and when my friends ask “why rabbits?” I can show them I’m not so odd.

last night I was in Bunny Heaven. My big guy, Gus (Giant Chin) was on the couch and I carried my little Gracie (fuzzy lop)over and sat down with her in my lap.They aren’t bonded yet but last night Gus leaned his head against my leg, eyes half shut, for about 10 minutes while he and Gracie were nose to nose.  I could’ve stayed there all night, except Gracie usually ends up peeing on me if I hold her too long.

My daughter, a psych major on college break, is even giving therapy to our dog, assuring him he doesn’t have to hurry over every time we talk to a rabbit and it doesn’t mean we love him any less.

Um,is that cute aggression a real thing?  I’ll have to share that with my daughter if she ever gets out of bed

I’ve learned that I can’t just pick Lucky up, I first get down on his level and he realizes it snuggle time…he cuddles into me and then he won’t leave me alone! Sometimes it’s overwhelming how much he wants to snuggle, be petted, and keeps kissing me!
And if he isn’t into it, I usually just get a quick snuggle in and he runs away haha

It is true!  When I told my daughter about it she hadn’t heard of it (2nd year college) but immediately likened it to people pinching babies’ cheeks, which is what that article starts out with…doesn’t mention us crazy bunny huggers though Ha Ha

It is definitely true. Once I kissed Bam after having given him a butt-bath, he was terrified and held by another person and the cuteness just overwhelmed me. I leaned in and kissed his face and he didn’t appreciate it at. all. I’m still ashamed of it. I very much try to not do stuff like that anymore.

When Gracie’s had a butt wash and is being held in a towel, we call her a Taco Ha ha Fortunately, she doesn’t mind baths too much cuz she needs them all the time, but hoping to get her tummy in better order eventually

Oscar broke me of that habit before it even started! 95% of the time I reach into his cage he grunts and charges at me. Especially if I’m reaching in to give him his lettuce. I guess he thinks my hand is eating his precious food. I just toss it in there and get my hand out of the way, kind of like feeding a lion. He’s so mean. He’s getting better about letting me pet him though, mostly when he’s out of the cage.

I hate walking out the door and seeing that cute widdle face looking at me.  I stop n go pet him.  Sometimes he lets me hold him I pet n pet n pet and he lays his widdle head down on my shoulder  after a bit he does  tooth crunches n purrs. 

Once he settles in we are good to go.  Other times forget it. I do want to snuggle and hug all day

I frequently give in to the urge to scoop up Piglet and give him a cuddle… He huffs grunts and snorts but he is usually pretty good about it.

Him being a male bunny, it’s funny how he speaks just like Maggie Smith in Downtown Abbey =)

Aw man I know that feel. Lily hates being touched but she’s so frickin cute. I’ll try to pet her head and she just hops away like “none for you, plebian.”
