  Hi there, I’m having trouble identifying little Missy’s breed. We went to a vet recently and he said she could be a Swiss Fox or Silver Rex but unsure of. However one fact is certain, she is not of pedigree. Can you help me? All help is very much appreciated!! (These pictures are her at approx. 9 mths old)

  I’m not familiar with a Swiss Fox rabbit and I don’t think she’s a Rex because she doesn’t have any of those breed characteristics.
  
  One thing for certain she’s absolutely gorgeous.
  
  She has very large ears and Flemish Giant came to mind but her body is too lean for that in my opinion.

  I have no idea not familiar with swiss fox YEs huge ears I was thinking flemmish giant. You never know maybe none of those breeds.
  
  I know she is a new breed called gorgeous eyelashes. Yes thats it.

  How much does she weigh now? With mix breeds it is always hard to pick the definate breed mix… She may have some hotot in her (sometimes called blanc de hotot). I agree though, she doesn’t seem to have stand out characteristics of swiss fox or rex breed, though her body shape could be likened to a rex breed.

  Sorry for the late reply as I’ve just relocated. My bun took a flight with me, she didnt enjoy it but they treat her quite well. She had the livestock cabin all to herself. LoL.
  
  She’s about 3kg (6.5lb) now. Approximately 10 mths old. She came from a pet shop (we don’t have rabbit rescues in the region ) where they had large rabbits, about 50cm of length when in meatloaf position. Can rex grow up to that size? If she’s a flemish giant she’ll definitely surprise my family members. They’re wondering how big she can grow up to.
  
  Then again, thanks for everyone’s praises. She’ll remain the mystery breed though.

  I suspect that she is one of the rare “OMG Look at Those Ears ” rabbits!!!!!! Yes, yes, that’s definately it!!!!!!

  She does remind me a bit of a Rhinelander (http://www.albc-usa.org/images/rhinelander.jpg) with her colored ears and eye spots, though I think they’re rare so it’s unlikely she’s one of them. But that’s the only thing that came to mind!
  
  Since you’re in Malaysia, she could be some breed that those of us in the US have never heard of.
