I’ve seen grunting can be both aggressive and content, such as grunting when petting and getting treats. However I’m not sure if my bunny wants me to leave her alone (I sat in her pen just now) or if she wants to play. She’s been chewing a few things, pushing some stuff around, sniffing me, and nudging me all over with her nose. Does this mean she wants me to leave/I’m in her way? She had quiet grunting when I pet her. Thank you!

If she’s not spayed, she’s also probably grunting from hormones. Grunting usually goes down when they get spayed. Most hormonal girls will grunt at almost everything (at least the vocal ones). If she is spayed, then it’s definitely a thing you have to assess. Bombur will grunt and thump if I’m being slow with his food, and sometimes if he’s completely blissed out when getting pets. Asriel has never grunted except before he was neutered, and that was rare.
